What to do

Ride an ostrich. Not for the feint of heart but you are welcome to try it. Oudtshoom, in the Karoo is the place to master riding this strangely attractive non flying bird.

Swim with penguins at Boulder Beach near Cape Town. The beach is set apart from the main penguin colony that resides at Foxy Beach where the penguins come to join you and swim around your legs whilst you’re taking a refreshing dip in the ocean.

Dive with Great White Sharks. Few things compare to the adrenaline rush and exhilaration you will get when you come face to face with a 3 metre Great White. Especially when they curiously cruise right up to the cage and eye you up within kissing range!

Ride a luxury train and explore the magnificent attractions spanning South Africa. On an incredible journey across lush wilderness and dusty desert plains. Take in natural wonders, rare creatures and spend time in cosmopolitan cities.

Experiences of a life time

Canoe or raft the Orange River for a great adventure. As it winds through an assortment of topiary, including majestic mountain ranges on its way to the Atlantic Ocean. With rapids to test even the most experienced, as well as flat, serene sections for a relaxing day out. The Orange River provides something for everyone.

Ride a safari elephant. Appreciate nature by experiencing South Africa from an elephant’s perspective. Walking beside them or riding high allows you to get close to the animals. There is no better way of interacting with the wilderness and wildlife. Generally the game is not aware of your presence as you gently float through the wilds of South Africa.

Tour Robben Island. Infamous as the holding place of the imprisoned Nelson Mandella. A man who served 18 of his 27 years in prison incarcerated on the islands prison. Robben island has also housed a hospital, mental institution, leper colony and military base during its rich history. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It houses a multi media exhibition, museum shop and restaurant. After you have taken in the history and sights of the island you can hop onto the ferry and enjoy a trip around the island. The tour is guided by a former political prisoner of the island and so gives a fascinating insight into the islands history.
